Shetland Access Panel (SAP) is an independent voluntary organisation, working to improve accessibility for disabled people in Shetland.
Who Are We?
The Panel is independent and is affiliated to the national โumbrellaโ organisation Disability Equality Scotland (DES).
It has a membership of unpaid volunteers. The majority of the membership has a disability with additional members who have a professional experience and interest in the improvement of accessibility in Shetland
What we do. Main examples include:
Offer help and advice to disabled individuals or groups needing help with access issues.
Highlight accessibility access issues to organisations and media
Pass on good accessibility practise and examples
Help to develop or improve an organisation or business’s buildings or services.
Hold a resource of information, guidelines and regulations.
